Our Database Design Day offering is rather different to any
other Smart Method course.
Our regular courses adhere to a very well defined outline
to gradually build the knowledge you need to master the relevant
skills.
The objective of the design day is to guide you through the
process of building a database to address a specific set of
business requirements. You should end the day with a well
designed normalised database that will satisfy your specific
needs.
This is not a substitute for our
competent user
and expert
access courses but a day you can book when you already have
enough Access skills to build an application but are
struggling with a database design that will cater for
identified business requirements.
Because the Database Design day does not follow any rigid
course outline you can use the day in many ways. For example
you could :-
- Bring along an existing Access database that has problems
and needs to be re-designed or expanded.
- Bring along a set of business requirements to be implemented
in a new Access database.
- Bring along a prototype or partially completed Access
database to be audited for normal form compliance and correct
constraints.
Access is a fantastically productive tool and you'll be
amazed with what you can achieve in one day under expert
guidance.
